What is THCA hemp flower?
THCa hemp flower, or tetrahydrocannabinol acid, is a compound found in CBD/Hemp plants that has different properties than THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). While THC is known for its psychoactive effects, THCa is non-intoxicating. When THCa is heated or decarboxylated, it converts into THC, which is why cannabis is usually smoked, vaped, or heated during cooking.
Research suggests that THCa may have therapeutic potential. However, more studies are needed to fully understand its effects. It’s important to note that the research on THCa is still developing, and much of the evidence comes from preclinical studies or anecdotal reports.
At Alliance, we offer high-quality THCa hemp flower. Our product is carefully cultivated and independently tested for purity and potency, ensuring a consistent and reliable experience for our customers. Feel free to reach out to our customer service team if you have any further questions or need assistance.
Is THCA hemp flower legal?
Under 2018 Hemp Farm Bill, hemp and hemp-derived products, including THCa flower, are legal as long as they contain less than 0.3% THC on a dry weight basis. The bill defines hemp as any cannabis plant or derivative with a THC concentration of no more than 0.3%.
THCa flower is derived from hemp plants that have been bred to have low THC levels and higher concentrations of THCa. As long as the THCa flower meets the legal requirement of containing less than 0.3% THC, it is considered legal under the 2018 Hemp Farm Bill. However, it’s important to note that laws regarding hemp and cannabis may vary from state to state, so it’s always best to check the specific regulations in your area.
How can I be sure the THCA hemp flower is compliant?
To confirm the legality of THCa flower, you can check its Certificate of Analysis (COA). A COA is a document provided by a third-party lab that tests the product for various factors, including THC content.
When checking the COA, look for the THC percentage. As per the 2018 Hemp Farm Bill, the THCA flower should contain less than 0.3% THC on a dry weight basis to be considered legal.
Additionally, the COA should also include information about other cannabinoids present in the flower, such as CBD and THCa levels. This can help you understand the overall cannabinoid profile of the flower.
By reviewing the COA, you can ensure that the THCa flower meets the legal requirements and is safe for consumption. If you have any doubts or concerns, you can always contact the company or manufacturer for further clarification.
Is it lawful to smoke THCa hemp flower in public or to have a package of it open in a car?
Because state laws vary regarding THCa hemp flower, and also due to the current confusion about its legal status, we do not recommend smoking it in public or having an open package of it in vehicles. Additionally, we recommend that it be sold to consumers only in pre-packaged, sealed bags or containers with labels clearly stating that it is lawful hemp. Anyone under the age of 21 is not permitted to purchase, consume or possess THCa hemp flower.
